MU Scholarship Recipient: April Kutz

April Kutz, a second-year student at Marquette Law School, is this year's AAML Wisconsin MU Scholarship Recipient. April has devoted much of her time to classes and work opportunities in the family law field. Her coursework has included classes in family law, juvenile law, and alternative dispute resolution, as well as a Guardian ad Litem workshop. She also completed a supervised fieldwork placement at the Legal Aid Society of Milwaukee, Guardian ad Litem Division.

This summer, April will serve as a Public Interest Law Society Fellow at the Wisconsin State Public Defender's Office, Juvenile Division, and she is also an executive board member of Marquette's Children & Family Law Society. On top of all of this, since beginning law school, April has devoted over 120 hours to pro bono work, which includes a substantial amount of time assisting clients in the Family Forms Assistance Program at the Milwaukee Justice Center.

April is a professional, kind, and hard-working student. She is thrilled and exceedingly grateful to receive this scholarship from the Academy's Wisconsin Chapter. She will be joining us for the 2018 Spring Social Dinner.
